Introduction to the Event
The Ash March Trading Competition offers a structured environment for traders to demonstrate their skills and compete for rewards. This event is designed to measure performance based on specific criteria, ensuring a fair and competitive experience for all participants.
To ensure your eligibility, please carefully review all the rules and requirements outlined below. Proper registration and adherence to the guidelines are essential for valid participation.
Participation Requirements
Before entering the competition, you must meet several critical conditions.
- You must click the "Join now" button and verify that it changes to an "Enrolled" status. Failure to do so will void your participation.
- You must complete full KYC (Know Your Customer) identity verification. This is mandatory both for entering the competition and for claiming any rewards you may earn.
- All displayed data on the event page is not real-time and may have a delay. If the page does not appear updated, please wait and refresh it to view the most current information.
Eligibility and Qualification Criteria
Your eligibility for ranking and rewards is determined by two main factors: your starting assets and your trading activity during the competition period.
Asset Qualification
At the precise start of the competition, the USDT equity in your main trading account must be greater than or equal to 1,000 USDT. This initial equity snapshot is used to determine your qualification and to calculate the dynamic total prize pool amount for the event.
Trading Volume Criteria
Throughout the competition period, your USDT Perpetual contract trading volume must be greater than or equal to 10,000 USDT. This volume is crucial for calculating your individual profit and loss (P&L) and, if applicable, your team's P&L.
If your trading volume does not meet this minimum threshold, your score will be considered invalid, and you will be excluded from the final leaderboard.
Important Note: The competition requires a minimum of 10 qualified participants to proceed. If this threshold is not met, the event may be forfeited.
Restrictions on Valid Trades
It is vital to understand that not all trading volume counts toward the competition goal. Trades executed using other platform rewards or perks are excluded.
This includes, but is not limited to, trades made using:
- Rebate cards
- Contract vouchers
- Transaction fee waivers
Ensure you are trading with your own capital to generate valid volume. For a comprehensive list of eligible trading pairs, ๐ view the official list of eligible contracts.
Understanding the Calculation Methodology
Your ranking in the competition is based on your P&L percentage (P&L%). The following formulas and definitions explain how this key metric is calculated.
Key Formulas
- P&L% = P&L / (Initial Equity + Total Deposit Amount) * 100%
- P&L = [Unrealised P&L + Realised P&L - Initial Unrealised P&L]
Critical Definitions
- Initial Equity: This is the USDT balance in your main trading account, measured during the first five minutes of the P&L Period. Withdrawals or losses after this snapshot do not affect the Initial Equity value.
- Total Deposit Amount: This is the sum of all USDT deposited into your main trading account during the Competition Period. This includes transfers from other OKX accounts, USDT obtained from spot trades, funds from the Convert tool, and USDT from contract vouchers. Withdrawals do not reduce this calculated amount.
- Initial Unrealised P&L: This is the value of your open USDT perpetual swap positions at the very beginning of the P&L Period.
P&L% Calculation Base
A special rule applies if your (Initial Equity + Total Deposit Amount) is less than the 1,000 USDT asset qualification threshold. In this case, the system will use the threshold value itself (1000 USDT) as the denominator for your P&L% calculation.
Example 1: A user starts with 360 USDT and makes no deposits. Their P&L is 700 USDT. Their (Initial Equity + Deposits) is 360 USDT, which is below the 1,000 USDT threshold. Therefore, the P&L% is (700 / 1000) * 100% = 70%.
Example 2: The same user deposits 700 USDT. Their (Initial Equity + Deposits) is now 1,060 USDT, which is above the threshold. The P&L% is now calculated as (700 / 1060) * 100% = 66.04%.
Example 3: A user starts with 200 USDT, makes no deposits, and achieves a P&L of 700 USDT. Their final equity is 900 USDT. While the P&L% would be estimated at 70% for calculation, they would still need to deposit an additional 100 USDT to meet the 1,000 USDT equity requirement to qualify for rewards.
Eligible Trading Pairs
This competition is exclusively for USDT perpetual swap trading pairs. Volume generated from any other contract types will not be counted toward your competition trading volume.
Remember, only trading volume generated from your own funds counts. Volume created using any form of platform credit or reward is invalid. ๐ Explore advanced trading strategies for perpetual swaps.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What happens if I forget to click 'Join now' but still trade during the competition period?
A: Your participation will be void if the button does not show "Enrolled." Simply trading is not enough; you must officially enroll through the event page.
Q: I completed KYC after the competition started. Am I still eligible?
A: You must complete KYC verification before the competition ends to claim rewards. However, your trading volume before KYC completion may not be counted. It is best to complete verification before you start trading.
Q: Why is my trading volume not updating on the leaderboard?
A: The data on the leaderboard is not real-time and is updated with a delay. Please allow some time and refresh the page to see the updated information.
Q: Can I use a fee waiver from my VIP level to trade?
A: Yes, using standard VIP fee discounts is allowed. The restriction applies specifically to separate promotional items like rebate cards and vouchers, not to built-in account benefits.
Q: What if the competition has fewer than 10 participants?
A: The event requires a minimum of 10 qualified participants. If this number is not met, the competition may be canceled, and no rewards will be distributed.
Q: How is my starting equity calculated if I have open positions?
A: Your "Initial Equity" includes your USDT balance plus the value of any open positions (unrealised P&L) at the competition's start. This is all captured in the initial five-minute snapshot.
